KEEP CALM and......

EAT PEEPS!  Ok, so I think this is a little clever on my part  :)

http://www.kathiscreativetherapy.blogspot.com/

This is part of a stamp set from Technique Tuesday.  I inked all of the words except chocolate then added the peep die from the MFT Woven Basket set. The t-shirt and the scalloped edge border are both dies from MFT.  The dot embossing folder by Darice.  I inked the t-shirt and stippled the scalloped border with VersaMark Purple Hydrangea.  Patterned paper by Bo Bunny and the date on the paper is 2006!!  OMGoodness!  LOL!!  I used a tiny hole punch to make notches for the twine.

All my peeps in a basket

Hi...just a quick post today with a card I made simultaneously with yesterdays Pure Innocence Peep card.  And I still have scraps left  :)  So I have a new die set from MFT called Woven Basket.  It is just too cute!

http://kathiscreativetherapy.blogspot.com/

http://kathiscreativetherapy.blogspot.com/

I cut the basket from kraft CS then rubbed my VersaMark pad over it to bring out the basket weave design.  I also used the Pennant Trim die by MFT which I embossed with the Spellbinders M-Bossabilities folder and used the VersaMark on that.  I used a swirl stamp/VersaMark on the eggs.   I made the grass in the basket with the MFT Pinking Edge Border die and layered it with the eggs and peeps.  Finally the basket was raised up with pop dots.

Til next time!

I Miss You Peep!

Hi Everyone...it's been a busy week here!  Nothing unusual I guess!  LOL!  Here's a card I made for my daughter away at school.  She used to just love peeps at Easter time and this Pure Innocence girl always reminds me of her  :)

http://kathiscreativetherapy.blogspot.com/

I'm using the MFT Wednesday Stamp Club sketch MFTWSC116.   The MFT set is called One of My Favorite Peeps.  I colored her with Copics, I still have a lot of practicing to do!!  I paper pieced her dress and I don't know who makes the papers I used...sorry.  I used Glossy Accents on her shoes, flowers centers on the dress and the peep.  She has a little pearl in her hair too.  I embossed the peach CS with Spellbinders M-Bossabilities EL-005 folder.  Then I rubbed my VersaMark pad on the raised design.  I love how it makes the flowers pop off of the paper.  The flower was the Michael's $1.50 bin.  And yes I'm still upset that they raised the prices of those bins from $1.00 like 2 years ago!  LOL!

Skulls & Roses

Hi Everyone,

Today I have my  project for the 613 Avenue Create  Anything Goes challenge.  Our sponsor this week is Rick St. Dennis and I've chosen to work with the Skull Roses image.  I usually work with the cutesy images but I love skulls...my dark/artistic side :)
The sentiment was a free wordart digi from Ginger's House.  All of her digi's are free and she has a great sense of humor!!  You should check out her blog.

Image colored with Prismacolor pencils/Gamsol and chalks.  I used the Spellbinders Grand Labels Eleven die and distressed the edges with my Tim Holtz distressing tool then inked the edges in gray.  I mounted it on some red/orange mulberry paper which I torn the edges.  For a tip on how to do this see my post HERE

Wish Big!

I'm back with a birthday card for a friend.  I love this stamp from MFT's  A la Mode line called Big Birthday Wishes.  The images are very small measuring 2" x 3.75" so the paper piecing was "fun"  :)

I usually don't promote businesses however, I had an exceptional experience with a company on EBay.  The store is called Creating Everlasting Memories.   To start she had an awesome sale a couple of weeks ago and I purchased 2 multiple die sets and a 4"x4" heart doily die.  The prices were excellent, she combines shipping, communication superior and the shipping was fast.  And here's where the exceptional part comes in.  When I received my order one of the die sets was incorrect.  Simple error, not intentional on their part so I contacted Teresa and she replied quickly and told me to keep the die set that I didn't order and she would send the correct die set out with the next mailing!   So I asked if she was sure because it's a 14 die set that averages $25!  Here is her response:

We are sure. It was our error, and there is no reason for us to inconvenience you any further than we already have.

We thank you for your grace in this matter
Teresa :)

Well I thanked her and told her I would spread the word of my positive experience, which I am doing now  :)  So if you are looking for dies, Magnolia (Tilda) rubber stamps, Graphic 45, My Mind's Eye, Prima Marketing Products, etc. then check out Creating Everlasting Memories.

So here is my card using one of the sets from QuicKutz - Rectangle Doily which has 4 dies.

http://kathiscreativetherapy.blogspot.com/
I stippled the clouds with Brilliance Pearlescent Sky Blue, used VersaMagic Spanish Olive to create the grass, colored with Copics (skin) and Prismacolor pencils/Gamsol on the hair and 2 Jolee's Hotfix crystals which I always adhere with a little Glossy Accents because it holds much better than heat setting them.

Shamrock M&M's

Hi everybody!

Here are some quick and easy treats to make for friends and family.  Seems like I'm always behind...hmmm...kind of like my day job!  LOL!

http://kathiscreativetherapy.blogspot.com/

I used a QuicKutz Shamrock die , inked the edges and glued it to mini clothespin.  I folded a doily in half and inked the edges with Spanish Oliver VersaMagic ink.  That's all folks!  Easy peasy!

Til next time!

Kathi

My Favorite Lucky Charm

Hi Everyone!

I'm here with this week's challenge at 613 Avenue Create.   The theme is Anything Goes with the optional sketch I've created:

Now I have 2 versions of the same wall hanging for you.  Many many years ago when I did craft shows I had some rubber stamps made with my favorite Irish sayings.  The one I originally used I thought was a little too fresh to put on the challenge blog so I created another banner with the "You're my favorite lucky charm" stamp (it's a new wood mounted but no company name on it...not smart)   Anyway, I put it over the original banner and took a picture that way as well.

http://kathiscreativetherapy.blogspot.com/

So there you have it my fresh side and my sweet side  LOL!!  Yes, I hear some of my friends chuckling saying " oh that's nothin' you should hear her in person!!"   :)

The details:  Theodore Shamrock by Bugaboo, colored with chalks, Spectrum Noir and Copics.  Banner dies from MFT, scalloped oval and oval center by Spellbinders, mini heart is a new die from Lawn Fawn, papers from stash

Well that's it for now...hope you can join us this week!
Hugs,
Kathi

Tic Tac Toe Challenge

Hi all!

Well I have been MIA due to my laptop dying!!  UGH!  Disaster...I know I know...I was supposed to have my thousands of pictures, digi's and cutting files backed up!  But I didn't, not that I haven't said a million times "I really need to save my stuff because if my computer dies I'm gonna freak!"   Well fortunately, I have a husband who is a computer geek and loves me very very much and spent many hours working on it for me (instead of sleeping because he works 2nd and 3rd shift - yes 2 jobs!) and he was able to save everything!! And he transferred it all to my new laptop! OMG!  I love you Salim!!  Thank you!!  You are the best  :)  Well so much for that tax refund!  Geesh!  So now I can get back to business and staying up late!  LOL!!

This week's challenge at 613 Avenue Create is
Anything Goes with the optional Tic-Tac-Toe twist.

Hopefully you can join us this week, our new sponsor is Rick St. Dennis!

Have a great week!
Hugs,
Kathi
